"The Dreadful Tale of Prosper Redding" book review

I really didn't know anything about this book before starting it. All I had heard about it was that it was about a young boy who becomes possessed by a demon. I was interested in giving it a try because it was October and I was looking for creepy books to read.

This book follows Prosper Redding (obviously) and his family's dark history. Prosper discovers one halloween that his ancestor had made a deal with a demon. Now Prosper is left to deal with the consequences of his ancestors mistakes, which means sharing a body with an ancient demon bent on destroying the Redding family.

I actually really enjoyed this book. It wasn't exactly what I had expected. It was humorous, which I was definitely not expecting. It was dark, but not as dark as I had hoped. I enjoyed the book and am looking forward to seeing where the story goes.
